National Wrestling Alliance Invades New York City!

After a very successful "Parade of Champions" Event during WrestleMania Week in Texas this year - the NWA continues its expansion North with the announcement of a new promotion "NWA Big Apple Wrestling" based out of New York City.

This gives fans on the East Coast - a longtime WWWF / WWE stronghold - the opportunity to see the hard-hitting competitive style that the NWA has become known for all over the world.

"We are very excited to welcome this new promotion to the NWA family," stated NWA Director of Operations James Beard.  "Our expansion into the Northeast opens up a brand new market for the NWA and we are very much looking forward to meeting the fans and providing them with an alternative product."

"New York City is just the first of several new markets the NWA has considered expansion into and we are also looking at eventually presenting events in Milwaukee, Chicago, Philadelphia, and we are currently planning another big NWA event for WrestleMania Week next year in Orlando."

This brings the total number of NWA-licensed promotions worldwide to 30.

Less than a year ago the NWA launched the extremely popular NWAClassics.com digital network that boasts the most extensive collection of vintage wrestling matches in existence.  Currently over 300 of the greatest matches in history are online - and only a small portion of the library has been released.

The NWA continues to enjoy a steady corporate growth and shows no signs of slowing down as it develops NWAClassics.com and uploads new content on a daily basis - as it continues to sign up new licensee promotions that are excited about promoting wrestling under the NWA brand - as it moves into larger markets such as New York and New Jersey - as its licensee promotions present bigger and better live events domestically - and as the NWA continues to develop merchandising and television broadcast contacts worldwide.
